Overview

The Sony Alpha A6700 is a 2023 APS-C 26MP mirrorless camera on the Sony E / FE mount. It shoots up to 11 frames per second, records 4K 120p (crop) video and has in-body stabilisation, and it's weather sealed. Small APS-C body with Sony's AI subject tracking. A favourite for hybrid photo and video.

APS-C or full-frame lenses? Lenses made for APS-C are smaller, lighter and cheaper, and they cover the wide angles properly. Full-frame lenses fit and work fully on the Alpha A6700, but you carry glass sized for a bigger sensor, and a 24-70mm frames like 36-105mm, so it isn't wide. Full-frame lenses make most sense for telephoto, fast primes, or if you plan to move to a full-frame body later.
